The Sea<\/strong><\/p>\n

What was it like for them at the sea<\/p>\n

frothing and boiling and running bloodlike<\/p>\n

onto white beaches<\/p>\n

the sea<\/p>\n

would churn them into death as once<\/p>\n

they were slowly ground<\/p>\n

into death<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What did they think<\/p>\n

To go back<\/p>\n

to return<\/p>\n

to the slow death or to plunge into<\/p>\n

cold blackness<\/p>\n

redness that lay before them<\/p>\n

a quick death<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Did they have faith<\/p>\n

or falter<\/p>\n

move back or believe strongly<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And when the waters of the sea<\/p>\n

moved<\/p>\n

and ripped apart<\/p>\n

two hands tugging them<\/p>\n

did their hearts fail<\/p>\n

Was it real or unreal?<\/p>\n

Did they cringe in pain of fear<\/p>\n

or dance with joy of what was to be<\/p>\n

as the waters split<\/p>\n

a chasm of earth and floor<\/p>\n

slowly dried<\/p>\n

a first foot walked through<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To see that muzzen bunch<\/p>\n

of slaves worn<\/p>\n

tattered like their raqgs<\/p>\n

scarred<\/p>\n

broken spirits<\/p>\n

yet rising up by the sea<\/p>\n

The sea that split<\/p>\n

like a chasm from the hand of<\/p>\n

God<\/p>\n
