To The Moon<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If I could take you two to the moon!<\/p>\n

We’d fly there is a silver spaceship<\/p>\n

called Streak or Fastest Ever<\/p>\n

and circle round and round<\/p>\n

before landking without even the<\/p>\n

slightest bump.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We’d jump in a weightless world<\/p>\n

flying high into the air<\/p>\n

and laughing into our helmets as we<\/p>\n

did it with so little<\/p>\n

effort<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Perhaps if I could take you two to the moon<\/p>\n

then<\/p>\n

then perhaps you’d never lose the<\/p>\n

zest that you’ve got<\/p>\n

right now<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Perhaps if I could take you two to the moon<\/p>\n

like female Peter Pans you’d grow older<\/p>\n

but would not age<\/p>\n

instead of surpassing your old dad<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But<\/p>\n

I can’t take you to the moon.<\/p>\n

I can’t even take you to Mars<\/p>\n

So all I can do is write a small poem<\/p>\n

for you and hope that as you age<\/p>\n

you’ll find message in the words and<\/p>\n

heed it<\/p>\n
