{"id":2298,"date":"2016-02-24T01:37:42","date_gmt":"2016-02-24T01:37:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/marcmangel.net\/?page_id=2298"},"modified":"2016-02-24T01:37:42","modified_gmt":"2016-02-24T01:37:42","slug":"chaye-sarah-ca-5760","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/marcmangel.net\/?page_id=2298","title":{"rendered":"Chaye Sarah (ca 5760)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Drash Cards for Chaye Sarah (ca 5760)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>by Marc Mangel<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 We have the cycle of the world: death (Sarah), marriage (Isaac), death (Abraham)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 &#8220;Chaye Sarah&#8221; is translated as &#8220;Life of Sarah&#8221;; what matters is not the days of our life but the life of our days.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 In Ch 23, v1 we learn Sarah was a youth for 100 years, adult for 20 years, and in old age for 7 years giving a total of 127 years, which is the 31st prime<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 She is buried in Kiryat Arba (the city of 4 giants). \u00a0Couples buried there are Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rivka, and Jacob and Leah.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The centerpiece of the story is the purchase of the cave of Machpelah.
