Remove your shoes from your feet, for the\nplace on which you are standing is holy ground\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 We all know this\nsituation \u2013 Moses has encountered the burning bush. God tells him to remove the\nphysical barrier \u2013 in this case his sandals \u2013 to have a more direct connection\nwith the Divine.&nbsp; Incredible. And we all\ncan imagine this scene (again, thank you Cecil B. deMille).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 From today\u2019s parsha (Ch\n40, v 31-32): They [Moses, Aaron, and Aaron\u2019s sons] would wash [their hands and\nfeet using the laver, online definition \u2018(in biblical use) a large brass bowl for the ritual\nablutions of Jewish priests.\u2019] whenever they entered the Tent of the Meeting or\ndrew near to the Altar \u2013 as God had commanded Moses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 More than just take off\ntheir shoes when they approach the Divine, Moses and Aaron are to wash their\nfeet in a specially designed bowl. They not only connect to the holy ground,\nbut &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;wash away the profane when approaching it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Today our holy ground is this\nsynagogue (or any other). &nbsp;What do these\nverses mean for us today?
