{"id":848,"date":"2014-12-16T01:33:57","date_gmt":"2014-12-16T01:33:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/marcmangel.net\/?page_id=848"},"modified":"2014-12-16T01:33:57","modified_gmt":"2014-12-16T01:33:57","slug":"nitzavim-vayelech-5770","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/marcmangel.net\/?page_id=848","title":{"rendered":"Nitzavim-VaYelech (5770)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Drash Cards for Nitzavim-VaYelech (5770)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>by Marc Mangel<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 We are getting ready for Rosh HaShanah. \u00a0In both VaYikra (23:24) and B&#8217;Midbar (29:1) we read about Truah.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 But in Zechariah (9:14) \u00a0we read &#8220;And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth like the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the shofar&#8221;. \u00a0What does it mean that God will blow the shofar? \u00a0Here&#8217;s an answer from the 5th Lubavitcher Rebbe.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0When we blow the shofar &#8220;Tekiah-Shevarim-Tekiah&#8221; we send a cry of spiritual distress that goes up to God.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A Tekiah comes back to us from God.
