• Today I want to discuss Lot’s wife (Ch 19, v 26):  Why did she look back? Why did God do this to her?

• Her name is either Irit or Idit and she  looked back to see if her two first born daughters were following, and she saw that they were not, and worried about what had become of them

• In Beresheit we read that Sodom received sulfur and fire, but in Dvarim (Ch 19, v 24) sulfur and salt.

• All the people of Sedom became salt — Irit is thus continuous with the people who stayed behind
