View from Haifa – 2
by Marc Mangel
The sun has gone
fiery and fiercely down under foaming roar
the moon has risen
while the wind has stilled
the brine is now a mirror
for the orange vain moon
All across the water
irridescent orange floating
icebergs of light
down for the summer
patchwork of orange land
a bridge to walk
a bridge to eternity
and the moon too must fall
or slowly lower itself
at least
from the perch in the sky
each bit of organce
begins
to fade
to sink
becoming lost
in a silent
colorless sea
